Francis Audio-Visual has been in the event staging business since the 1960’s.  We have seen technologies come and go.  Want to get your message across to a large audience?  Perhaps you have a ballroom booked for your annual meeting and now you need the right equipment package to convey your message. 

Lets say your attendees are coming from all over the state. It’s a very special day for them.  You want it to be a memorable day and have a memorable message.  On top of that you have booked a “semi-celebrity” and he needs a special microphone. 

At Francis Audio-Visual we take pride in going out of our way to see that things go flawlessly at your next event.  Just showing up with a truckload of equipment and a few show technicians is not nearly enough.  Certain pre-show practices need to happen regardless of whom you choose for your next event –

• SITE VISIT with client and facility representative.  A walk-thru to actually envision where things go is very important.  Traveling there is money and time well spent
• Get a final floor plan of the room layout in case there are any last minute changes due to increased attendance or other reasons
• EARLY LOAD-IN of equipment so there is ample time to address smooth operation of equipment

• REHEARSALS – If you’ve ever had a bad experience with equipment at an event do to lack of preparation then you know how important rehearsals and dry runs are.
• BACK-UP EQUIPMENT – When Francis Audio-Visual stages a show, we bring certain back up equipment even if it is not ordered.  The bottom line will always be “was the event a success?”  If it wasn’t and even if it wasn’t the A-V contractor’s fault, it will almost always be blamed on the A-V company
• If there is a sound system especially with wireless microphones it is imperative that you do a sound check.  Emulating where the speaker is going to stand or move about is required.  Just tapping on the microphone to see if it works is not enough
• Color balancing the video image as close as possible to that of the original video is important.
• Your A-V company should make sure cables are neatly covered or taped down especially across doorways and open areas for safety and aesthetics and to insure a flawless performance (of the equipment that is)
