1800 ANSI lumens and XGA resolution
Combining Sony three-panel LCD technology and a new 200 W UHP lamp, the VPL PX21, offers
an impressive 1800 ANSI lumens, provides an excellent alternative for situations not
requiring installation level brightness. To complement their high brightness levels, both
the VPL PX31 and VPL PX21 utilize three 1.3 inch LCD panels to provide true XGA
resolution. Advanced APA {Auto Pixel Alignment) In addition to adjusting dot phase, the
new advanced APA also performs shift and size adjustments with the touch of a button. |

High picture
performance
Silent Fan Noise 34dB achieved with a new fan design, newly engineered cooling structure,
and new sapphire glass panel which reduces heat build-up. High Picture Performance.
The
VPL-PX21 uses Sony's best video processing technology such as the 3D gamma correction
previously used exclusively on Sony's high end installation projectors.
HDTV Ready
The VPL-PX21 can accept a variety of signals for excellent
compatibility with sources both today and tomorrow. Sources selected include, but are not
limited to, 480/60p, 575/50p, 1080/50i, 1080&1250/50i, 720/60p, 720/50p.
Flexible Input Capability Composite, S Video, component, YCbCr, YPbPr, and RGB. New
RGB Enhancer For Crisp RGB Images a powerful circuit enhances detail.
Digital Keystone
Correction
Corrects for image distortion caused by projecting the image too high relative to the
projection angle. This is very useful for presenters on the go. Advanced APA
Function Auto Pixel Alignment allows the users to lock to source signal with the touch of
a button for best appearance. USB Hub Makes digital connectivity simple yet
powerful. Connect to other projectors using Projector Station Software and control
up to 127 different projectors from one computer. This port also enables mouse control
from the projector's remote control.
New Help Function
Make the projector among the most simple to operate, even
for a novice. Digital Zoom Up to four times enlargement for highlighting
spreadsheets with small text, flow charts, and other images and drawings. Laser
Pointer Remote Control Draws attention to an image during presentations.
Bi-level Lamp Power
Selector
Lamp Mode
can be set to High or Low depending on ambient light conditions. The lamps low setting
will extend lamp life by approximately two times. Low level light output is approximately
1400 ANSI lumens.
Auto Input Search
When Auto
Input SEL is "ON", the VPL-PX21 searches the
input channels and skips "NO INPUT" channels. Auto input is triggered when the
input key is pressed or the projector is powered on. Discrete Input Selection the
video and S-video inputs can be discretely selected or accessed via the more traditional
toggle command.
