High Resolution LCD Panel
Sony's new LCD panel with a metal mask realizes true XGA resolution (1366X768 pixels) as well as a high contrast picture. This new wide LCD panel adopts Dot Line Inverter Technology and On Chip Spacer (OCS) for good uniformity. This panel has a good black level reproduction, an expanded voltage drive of about 5% from the previous panel and an improved contrast ratio of approximately 20%.

High Brightness
The VPL-VW10HT is capable of exhibiting 1000 ANSI lumens of brightness when the 16:9 mode is selected and 750 ANSI lumens when the 4:3 mode is selected. The ability to portray high brightness is largely due to the new lamp, optical unit and the new LCD panel.

HD Ready
This new LCD projector can accept signal inputs from high definition sources.

Digital Reality Creation™ Circuitry (DRC)
Sony's DRC circuitry can effectively quadruple the resolution of conventional video images, enhancing fine detail and improving diagonal line reproduction. You can also select 4xDRC (standard) or DRCO Progressive enhancement, for best results with both fine-detailed images and on-screen text. In addition DRC-MF (Multi-function) has two modes. One is high resolution and suitable for moving picture "DRCx4". Another is "DRC Progressive" which is good for still picture and text information.

Cinema Black Setting
With the new Cinema Black setting, the user can adjust the black for more dramatic picture quality in a low-light setting.

Short Throw Distance
The short throw distance is similar to the VPH-D50 CRT Series projectors. The short throw distance allows reproduction of a big image even in a small room.

Advanced APA
The New APA (Auto Pixel Alignment) algorithm covers not only dot phase but also size and shift adjustments. Just press the APA button to automatically adjust dot phase or shift to their optimal settings. Keystone distortion can be electronically corrected with the digital keystone adjustment function. The adjustable range of 20 degrees can be controlled via the on-screen display menu. The correction data is stored in the unit when the Keystone Memory menu is set to the "ON" position. For excellent audio performance the CS1 comes fully equipped with stereo speakers. A 4-times digital zoom function can be easily controlled from the optional RM-PJ610 remote control unit.
